Welcome to the Surf Photographers United site.
History:
In the wake of John Mozo’s death at Backdoor a flood of e-mails permeated the surf photography community. Soon a blog was formed that then became the United Surf Photographers International (USPI) forum in 2006. The forum grew to have over 200 members while another similar forum, Surf Photographers Forum (SPF) in Australia grew simultaneously. Rather than business SPF’s focus was on the general discussion of surf photography as an art.
The creators of these two forums merged their efforts to bring you Surf Photographers United. Our goal is to foster communication, camaraderie, and community among our ranks. We currently have over 4 hundred members from 13 countries.
